Bad shopping habits

“The inkling of always needing new groceries & products in general” This trend has already contaminated many of us. Massively influenced by the global advertising business, people are under a marketing spell. When people go shopping they buy food that they are familiar with and like the taste of. Good food. Or that’s what the unprofound mind thinks. I doubt that there are massive changes in what people buy. Always the same snacks, drinks, and ingredients. It is hard to change a lifelong habit like that. Even more so if you are the only person embracing this change. Also, your corrupted mind has grown to like the food that tastes good, that’s it. In some cases change is not needed, the body as well as the user are happy. I do believe that this balance is essential for the proper function of the body. Hence it is also necessary for the freeing of your mind.

Shopping arises a few moral decisions, do I buy from my country even If it is more expensive? Do I buy food that I know is good for me(food that my body wants), or food that I like? Sad thing is most people don’t even realise and ask themselves these questions. Essential questions, essential kind of questions. For without these kinds of questions, a mind has little hope of becoming profound.

Food that is contributing towards the freeing of your mind, has natural origins and will improve your overall health in one way or another. As well as being from the country that you are in, if possible. I think this is only fair as you are supporting your country, and if you live in a small country like me, you get better food. Fruits and vegetables may be challenging to find, but you can always support your local farmer, or better yet, grow your own. Another option is to make an arrangement with your family. Split who grows what, and share everything after harvest. This is the best food that you can get. I believe that food which you or your family/friends grow has better qualities than shopped food. Also, the feeling when you eat food that you have hunted or grown is incomparable. Makes you feel profound and moves you forward in your journey. It is important that you experience these feelings. They are essential in the discovery of profoundness.

On the other hand, some foods are of no use to the human body. We buy and consume them because of a modern weakness. Weakness for quick pleasure. As well as the constant enforcement of weak bodies shun upon us by the “modern way”. This weakness has exponentially increased with the influence of social media. Quick dopamine hits created with social media are in the end the same ones you get from consuming quick pleasure foods. It is our responsibility to realise this and be disgusted with ourselves whenever we experience these quick dopamine hits. Whether it is eating bad food, or scrolling on instagram.

These foods (I’m not going to state which, that’s not the purpose of this post) contaminate our bodies and therefore our minds. This is why it is necessary to make the tough choice. Buy foods that your body needs, not the ones that your soft mind needs. If you endure the first few months your body will automatically start craving healthy foods. You might start realising that you feel better physically. This is very important as if you feel good physically the mind can follow. Our bodies are connected to our minds and our minds to our bodies, essential to try and realise this.

Going shopping is a daily task. Don’t just go to the shops and buy what you want. Buy what you need. This means you have to research. Really dive deep, find out what foods are good for you. Push yourself to become better In a physical activity. That is a great motivator for your body to express the need for healthy food. Don’t just do it for yourself. Help your family, get your friends into it. Explain it to them, make sure they understand, and want it for themselves. Get yourself into contact with people that are already very good at this. Together we can create a community, people follow other people. This is how we help even the ones who don’t know they need/want help. They will follow.
